Production editor needed for a molecular modeling software
company (Schrödinger) in Portland, OR. Temporary, full-time work (3-4 weeks at a time) on three product
releases in 2004 and 2005, with annual releases thereafter. 2000+ page software manual set
(short to long books).
- Must have at least 5 years experience producing print-ready files in
FrameMaker - Must be able to work offsite on Windows, Mac or Unix platform
- Must be careful, flexible, process- and detail-oriented, quick, and
able to work independently - Some graphics (Photoshop and Illustrator) and copy-editing experience desirable
- Experience converting books to new templates desirable
- Local candidate preferred
- One of two production editors (books must look consistent)
- Portfolio required
