Technical Production Specialist at Adobe Systems, Incorporated

Position Summary:
We’re building a cutting-edge publishing solution for Adobe’s worldwide instructional documentation, and we need a skilled technical production specialist to help us. As a key member of the production team within Instructional Communications, you will create help and printed output for Adobe applications using a new XML-based publishing system. You must enjoy technical challenges, as you test the system, trouble-shoot problems, and document the results. You will support other production artists and writers using the system, and work with an internal engineering team to define new production workflows. You must understand localization issues, and support our translation vendors.
Knowledge & Skills:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
- Extensive use of FrameMaker in a production environment.
- Experience converting document libraries from unstructured to structured FrameMaker.
- EDD and DTD development and maintenance.
- Extensive use of XML. Strong technical problem solving abilities.
- Experience logging and regressing bugs against software.
- XSLT or Java programming a plus.
