Case Study: Military Standard Technical Manuals

This session is for beginning to intermediate Frame users. The presentation uses weather radar operations technical manuals, equipment retrofit modification documents, and organization newsletters developed in FrameMaker. It contains page and paragraph formatting, figure and table numbering, incorporating illustrations and graphics, and creating generated lists.

We will also cover PDF document creation for digital publishing and electronic distribution and explore how video clips enhance written procedures.

Basics of FrameMaker and XML

Moving content to XML increases the usability of the information we create. For organizations to set up and begin using XML, a wealth of knowledge of structured data is needed. Not all organizations have this knowledge. XML Authority becomes a time-saver for moving from HTML and SGML over to XML.

Company Reduces Q3 Revenue and Profit TargetsSAN JOSE, Calif. ó July 31, 2002 (NASDAQ: ADBE) ó Adobe Systems Incorporated, the leader in network publishing, today is providing its regular intra-quarter business update for its third quarter of fiscal 2002, which ends August 30, 2002.

With more than four weeks remaining in the quarter, Adobe announced that it is reducing its third quarter revenue target range to $270 to $290 million from its previously stated target range of $300 to $320 million. In addition, third quarter pro forma earnings per share are now targeted at $0.18 to $0.23, down from the original target of $0.24 to $0.27.
